SB 1222

Arizona Senate Bill 1222 was introduced in January 2020. The bill prohibits a city, town or county from denying a building permit based on the project’s utility provider. Additionally, the bill prevents fines or requirements restricting an authorized utility provider’s service or operation.  It requires municipal and county regulations to preserve use of an authorized utility providers’ services per municipal and country regulations.

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to represent our company and share my passion and support of the bill at the Senate for Natural Resources and Energy committee meeting on January 29, 2020.
