Product Safety, Support, and Reliability

The Stellar Open Hearth fireplace is UL Listed and built with commercial-grade components to ensure long-term durability and peace of mind. It features a fail-safe system integrated into the pressure differential switch, which, along with the proven draft safety switch and power vent system, will automatically shut off the burner if any unsafe venting or airflow condition is detected. These advanced features work together to maintain safety and reliability in even the most demanding installations.

Do you provide custom chase tops and shrouds too?

Arizona Fireplaces is your one-stop shop for everything related to fireplace installation. We handle the fireplace and venting installation, chase top measurements and manufacturing, as well as custom shroud measurements, manufacturing, and installation. This means you no longer have to deal with multiple suppliers—everything is taken care of in-house for a smoother, more efficient process.
*Arizona Fireplaces is not licensed for gas plumbing, electrical work, or framing, nor do we handle roofing. For those services, separate subcontractors will be required to ensure proper installation and compliance.

Can I mount a TV above the Stellar Open Hearth?

Yes! You can mount a TV as close as 6 inches above the fireplace opening—no mantel required.
💡 Pro tip: Planning to recess the TV? Chat with your sales rep first—the overall height of the unit might affect placement.

What are the clearances to combustibles and finish materials?

  • Fireplace must sit directly on wood or non-combustible flooring (no carpet or linoleum).
  • Clearance Requirements:
    • Sides: 1″ (left/right)
    • Top: 6″ above the opening
    • Bottom: 0” (floor contact is allowed)
    • To adjacent wall: 1″
  • Combustible framing/finishes are allowed below the viewing area only.
  • Leave 24″ clearance to nearby furniture, curtains, or decorations—for safety and service access.

Do I have to open or close the damper manually?

Nope. The Stellar Open Hearth features an automatic damper that opens and closes on its own, keeping cold air out when not in use. Set it and forget it.

How much framing depth is required?

This fireplace is impressively slim: just 25-1/32″ deep, compared to traditional masonry boxes that can run 30″+. More design flexibility, less bulk.

Do I need to install an access panel?

No access panel required! That means no need to cut into your expensive finishing materials later on. Service access is built into the design.

Are wind guards required for outdoor installations?

  • Required if using the driftwood or oak logsets.
  • Optional but recommended even without logs—for cleaner, more upright flames.

Is this fireplace vented or ventless?

The Stellar Open Hearth uses a B-Vent system and includes a power vent to optimize drafting and minimize any risk of carbon monoxide. Safe and smart.

What kind of framing is needed?

Go ahead and use wood or steel framing, this fireplace is flexible for a variety of construction styles.

What gas line specs should I know?

  • Propane (LP):
    • Min: 11.0″ W.C.
    • Max: 14.0″ W.C.
    • Manifold: 10.0″ W.C.
  • Natural Gas (NG):
    • Min: 7.0″ W.C.
    • Max: 10.0″ W.C.
    • Manifold: 3.5″ W.C.

Does this fireplace require make-up air?

Yes. Depending on unit size and opening height, make-up air needs range from 370–1,140 CFM. This ensures optimal performance and safe combustion.

Can I install it indoors and outdoors?

Absolutely! Install it indoors or outdoors under a covered patio. For outdoor installs, consult your sales rep for proper setup guidelines.

What are the electrical requirements?

The fireplace and its power vent require 120 VAC with 1.2–5.9 AMPs, depending on size. We’ll provide specifics based on your model.

Can I finish inside the firebox?

Yes, as long as you use non-combustible materials like porcelain tile, stone, or firebrick. It’s your design playground.

Can this fireplace vent horizontally?

You bet. The Stellar Open Hearth can be vented horizontally through an exterior wall, giving you more flexibility during installs.
